The Hidden Hand Struck Again
Written by Thomas Kai Toteh

_40847574_libelect270The hidden hand struck again.
The hidden hand sought for and never found
Continues to strike.

Strike he strikes like a wounded
Beast seeking to exploit the meekest;
To go down with him at the bottomless
Pit.

This brings unto him a joy; that
He never will have if the people
Are united and satisfied.

This is the hidden hand we have sought
And continue to seek from his hideouts.

Lucky for him to his cleverness who can
Throw stone and run and laugh and
Sit in the corner and say I got them;
Fools they are fighting among themselves.

Yes, yes, I am the smartest one; and who dares
Me I am not happy they be happy.
The hidden hand never found…

He will strike again and again.
Not up to time we can identify,
Capture, and throw him in the inextinguishable fire;
Where he will burn and return no more.

But until, heed this warning all ye meekest ones;
And be not guilty of yourselves before you are
Made to be found guilty.

For the hidden hand, until he is
Banished,  will cause havoc from one point
To another.

For him life is worthless without division,
Rejection, confusion, dissatisfaction..
Be on the watch twenty-four seven
Ye children of once a proud nation;

Where we knew no Lorma, Gio,
Krahn, Bassa, Mandingo….
And only jokes and merriness-
We threw at each other.

Say fire coal eater, Palm butter
Eater, fufu, Cassava leaves, GB, Torgborgee…
And laughed without planting Lorma girl or Mandingo girl’s
Corpse in Mandinhgo or Lorma community.

This is the trick of the common and public and national
Enemy; the hidden hand for he thinks
He is smart.

Knowing that We will judge ourselves before we are actually
Judged and found guilty by ourselves and him.

Yes, the hidden hand cannot survive in the
Promised flourishing land of ours.

And so, if he cannot survive, how dare
We, is the message he just gave to us..

Where is the Mandingo Home or County Lib
Musa I want to know where are the Mandingo homeland or county in Liberia and if Mandingo Nation can come in and tell me it will be great, because when I was in Liberia I saw Mandingo people in nearly all the 15 county of Liberia and one thing I don't understand is why the late President Samuel K. Doe had to declear the Mandingo people citizenship at the Monrovia City Hall in the heat of the civil war in 1990 and if the Mandingo are native of Liberia why we all can just accept them as we do to all the other Liberian tribe and if not than I want to know when did the Mandingo came to this Land that we called Liberia today, I also Want to know the Mandingo and the Americo-Liberian who was the first to arrived in Liberia?

This poem is about united we stand divided we fall. It is not about Mandingo nor any tribe.

#2. Doe did not make Mandingo citizens of Liberia. Doe was only dispelling the notion that Mandingos are foreigners.

If I can recall well, he said to the mandigoes that if anyone one calls you foreigners call the same.

And he was right because almost every Liberian tribe migrated from somewhere.

For example, we have Lorma, Kissi, Kpelle, Mano, and Mandingo in Guinea. We have Krahn, Gio, and Mandingo in Ivory Coast and the rest of the tribes migrated from other West African countries.

In addition, just as Mandingo are all over the country so as the rest of the tribes.

In particular, Mandingoes are all over the country because they are traders.

Finally, it does not matter which part of Liberia a Liberian resides or wish to be.

This comment is refering to the person that wrote the first comment. In your comment you mention, "Mandingos being in every counties and you would like to know where did they and the Americo-Liberian came from." Dude, you confuse me in the organization of your comment. I hardly could understand what your ment because the entire article was full of "RUN ON SENTENCES AND FRAGMENT". I am not hating but you need to be organize. You used "county instead of counties" and a lot more.
To the author of the poem, you did an excellent work but I think your poem is more about bad leaders that mislead people to cause trouble among themselves. I didn't grasp anything about unity thou it make sense. Sorry, that's just my understand. Well done brother!

The Fallacy and Myth of Islamic Tolerance In Religion
Muslims kill and persecute Christians in their home countries, while demanding their religious freedoms in the Western world.

No Religious Tolerance In Islam Today!

Muslims kill and persecute Christians in their home countries, while demanding their religious freedoms in the civilized world.
Muslims claim that Islam is a religion of love and peace and tolerance. They cite the Qur'an and Surah 2:256

"Let there be no compulsion In religion. Truth stands out Clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth And knoweth all things." (Surah 2:256)

Claims and reality, however, are two different things. Each month, I plan to present several news stories that focus on Islamic violations of their claims. These stories will not be focused on radical fringes, but upon instances of Islamic governments persecuting those who do not hold to Islam.

It is my belief that Islam cannot endure the light of the truth of the Bible. Consequently, Islam's adherents make every effort to suppress Bible teachers. Error cannot stand when exposed to truth, thus Muslims feel they must not allow any who believe the Bible the right to declare their belief, nor will they allow the Bible to be taught to Muslims. Their very persecution of Bible believers declares their lack of trust in their own religion. They do not trust the power of the Qur'an, but must rely on physical force and intimidation. Islam converts with the sword while Christianity converts with the heart!

Christians need to be aware of the danger in believing the lie that Islam is tolerant of other religions.

The chairmen of sub-associations of the Liberia Football Association (LFA) are requesting motorbikes from the Musa Bility's leadership in fulfillment of the promise he had made upon winning the elections to ease the transportation problem in the running of their respective leagues.

The sub-associations' chairmen are heads of the football leagues in the leeward counties who are responsible to ensure that the LFA's statute and international standards governing football are observed in the counties.

The 14 counties that are part of the sub-committees are Lofa, Gbarpolu, Cape Mount, Bong, Nimba, Grand Gedeh, Sinoe, Maryland, River Gee, River Cess, Margibi, Grand Bassa, Bomi and Grand Kru.

Their spokesperson who spoke to Observer Sports yesterday on condition of anonymity said the Musa Bility leadership, through their interim leader Garmondeh Karnga, had provided transportation for the chairmen and had vowed to fulfill their commitment before or during the 2010/2011 national leagues.

“We are optimistic that under the Bility leadership we will get the bikes, because these bikes are overdue -- dating from 2007,” the spokesperson asserted.

When contacted via mobile phone, president-elect Musa Bility confirmed the request of the sub-committees, but denied reports that it was a campaign promise.

Mr. Bility divulged that he was approached by the sub-associations to facilitate their movement in the running of the leagues in their respective counties. He said he had told the sub-committees that his leadership will consider their request for the good of the game.

The president-elect further disclosed that vice president-elect for Administration, Musa Shannon, had been charge with the responsibility to address the sub-committees' plight.

For his part, Mr. Shannon told Observer Sports also via mobile phone that the leadership had committed itself to purchasing the bikes for the sub-committees for the promotion and development of the game. He did not state when the bikes would be purchased.

Meanwhile, some stakeholders under the banner, 'Friends of Bility, are warning the president-elect of awarding contracts to cronies, a practice that, they said, might have some negative implication in his administration. They said they considered the practice as 'pay-back'.

Tiehnoomoh Williams, the Secretary General of the group, indicated that they had gathered reports that the extension of the VIP stand at Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) had been awarded to Willis Knuckles, a political and business friend to Musa Bility.

Mr. Williams said though the renovation and extension of the VIP stand will be welcoming for the good of the game, the award of the contract to Mr. Knuckles, without due process of procurement formality, was wrong.

When contacted for his reactions, president-elect Bility denied the report that he had awarded the contract to Willis Knuckles.
