rebutMy fellow Grand Gedean, the  election was held almost a month ago.The ballots were cast and the people have made their choice, why all the bickering and finger pointing ?

The civilized world have accepted the result and life goes on. Quoting and interpreting the association constitution to satisfied our individual desire will not change the outcome, but create unnecessary division in our community.

Our people have come a long way thruogh political unrest, civil wars, ecomnomic and social disintegration. our people have had enough of crisis. Any individual or individuals trying to sow the seeds of discord in our comminuty will be held accountable. I read the same constitution with an open mind and agreed with the election commission decision about your point of contention.I do not benefit financialy and politically from this election. My decision to agreed with  the comminssion is base from a realistic view and also on being a free thinker.

Taking the comminssion to court is a waste of time, finance and energy and will not change the outcome of the election , but create a lasting stigma on that individual or individuals that are creating an enviroment in which the  fabric of our comminuty will be distroyed. My fellow Grand Gedean, I am not attempting to open a direct dialogue on this issue, but an attempt to express my view as I see it.

I also believed openning a direct dialogue is also a waste of precious time and energy that could be used for a progressive forum and not a divisive one. We as Grand Gedean need to redirect our energy into a positve force to improve the lives of our less fortunate brothers and  sisters in our community, and also contribute to the uplifting of our country (Liberia)by undertaking social and economic developments. Slandering and power struggles is a recipe for social discord and destruction.

Our actions today can be a plus to our future political aspiration or a broken bridge to that aspiration.

Jacob, if Grand Gedeans can disenfranchised their fellow Grand Gedeans from voting how will they cope with national politic? How will they feel if they were to be disenfranchased in the 2005 general elections in Liberia? Are you saying an individual Grand Gedean is more Grand Gedean then the other? I am in support of the law sued. The law sue will serve as future deterrance. The election commission did not only voilate the alienable rights of those eligible Grand Gedean voters, but violated the 1963 US voters right Act. Do you know that? If those 31 individuals were allowed to vote Martha Kannah could not have alleged to be the winner. Glay could be the winner or she could be, who knows, because no one know who these individuals were going to vote for in the election.

Disjointed Argument
Look, Mr. Concern [sic] Grand Gedean, you argument is disjointed, your grammar is atrocious, and your spelling is murderous. What is a "law sue" or "law sued"? Are you referring to a "law suit"? There no phrase in the English language called "law sued". This who Grand Gedeh thing has been taken out of context. You people have brought in sectionalism and nepotism. If a Gborbo person doesn't lead, then no one. Like you said, those 31 persons out of Rochester were going to vote. Let them sue, not Glay. Who knows if all of them were going to vote for Martha? How sure is Glay that those were his votes? What gives him the confidence that had they voted, he would've won? Come on! Be real. You guys should stop this kind divisiveness. Glay is ruining his own legacy. Just think what the younger generations will say about him few years from now.

Ignorant Is A True Original Sin
It is so sad that you who professed to know much about the English grammar will yourself write what is written above? Did you proof read your little comment before posting it since you are so good at finding atrocious grammars and murderous spelling? I provide for your convenience these following words so that you can do a self edit on your comments, and you can figure out where each ought to be: is, whole, of, just to name a few.
Now, let me address your nonsensical, and ignorant argument, that if a Gborbo person doesn't lead then no one should. Since this organization was founded, Glay is its first Gborbo President, and it is more than 30 yrs of existence and has been going fine. What does Gborbo got to do with anything? Don't you think you are the one sounding very sectionalistic with that baseless argument? Are you even aware of the background of Mr. Rancy Wright, Martha's Deputy Campaign chairman? Or are you cognizant of other Gborbo personalities that supported Martha? To reduce yourself to this swamppy politics is to insult the intelligence and committments of other Gborbo people who worked tirelessly in Martha's camp.
Another point I wish to make before I resign myself to bed is this. You referred to protest as been divisive, but is oblivious to the fact that Grand Gedeans were denied their right to vote. Which of the planet are you from anyway? Are you abreast with current events within the association? Well refine yourself so that arguments can stand the test of time, and this is for the future. You don't get it, this is not about Glay, we can care less. This is about 31 individuals who because of County pride drove more than 10 hours and left their busy schedules to go and exercise their right to vote as Grand Gedeans. Their law suit must be set as precedence for future election commissioners who think they can thwart or circumvant legitimacy for the sore purpose of cheating. A lesson must be taught and I stand with those 31 Grand Gedeans in their quest for justice. This is some example that the younger generations can emulate. Justice is blind and has no preference, it only dispense what is just.

Jac Marley
Jac,

Thanks for the well written piece. In my view the article is balanced and should be view in that respect. To the critics, Mr. Marley is only doing all within his power to bring the people of this great county back together thorug sound analysis of the issue at hand. The election is behind us and we, as a people must muster the courage to come together and work for the common good of our people.

My only advice to the die hard supporter of Mr. Glay is, the election results will not change, hence, going to court is irrelavent at this time. What you are trying to prove in my view is nothing but empty bluff. First of all you do not have the cash to under write legal services to pursue this case to the end. However, you have people like Slanger who they said stole lot of money and ran away through the Ivory Coast few years ago. Maybe he will spend some of the money to destroy the association. Good luck if he does!
