Bowie, Maryland – November 2, 2009 – AEW concludes its 3rd Annual
Environmental Conference on October 30, 2009 at Bowie State University
and Martin’s Crosswinds respectively. The conference ended on a high
note with a resounding success.
AEW expresses delight by the high level of participation for all who traveled far and near to share their professional expertise and support – we are grateful!
The theme “Global Warming and Environmental Public Health in Africa: Challenges and Solution” could not have better suited the conference at a time when the global environmental community, particularly Africa, is faced with challenges of climate variability and global warming assaults that have now threatened human co-existence on planet earth. It is highly noted that our experts’ presenters have done justice to the subtopics under the theme with thoughts provoking intellectual discourse and amicable interaction with the audience, hence drawing out some key crucial points that form part of the conference resolution to be released soon for public consumption.
AEW extends special gratitude to Ambassador John McDonald, Keynote Speaker at the conference deliberation at Bowie State University and Dr. Alfred Amah, Executive Director designate, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) of Liberia, as Keynote Speaker at the Award Dinner at the Martin’s Crosswinds. We are thankful to our 2009 Humanitarian Award Honorees: Mr. Julius Coles, Dr. Sylwura Somah, Emira Woods, and Mr. Emmanuel Reeves, and Hon. Ben Turtur Donnie
For those of our fellow environmental proponents who could not make it, we hope you’ll next time. We still count on your support.
