Reasons why this latest move is political grandstanding
The Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf Government of Liberia (GOL), according to news
reports, has planned to hold a series of townhall meetings among
Liberians in the United States of America, Europe, Ghana, and other
places outside of Liberia so as to glean input from Liberians everywhere
vis-à-vis poverty reduction in Liberia. Already we are informed that a
government delegation is now in the U. S. holding townhall meetings in
strategically selected states, including the State of Minnesota, which
has a very large number of Liberians.

This is the Remarkable Complaint
Most often, some Liberian speakers and writers in print, broadcast, and

The
purpose of this article is twofold. First, to define certain key terms
used in the debate over Dr. George Boley’s war record; and second, to
set the record straight on the “Hero” comment made by Mr. Bai Gbala in
reference to Dr. Boley’s role in the civil war.

Martha Kannah’s mantra to keep her container misdeal secret has
miserably failed her. Therefore the effort of keeping the information
concealed has also yielded on fruitful results, at least not in her
favor. The cat has been let out of the bag and the throes of revealing
what actually happened must now begin.

Education as a tool for development and nation building in post war
Liberia:"A note to one I LOVE Liberia on the Liberian forum website"
Liberia looks like a big elephant that needs to be stinged by a
powerful fly or like one demon possessed man who needs to be terrible
flogged to cast away the demons.

POVERTY REDUCTION STRATEGY DEBATE: WORLD BANK BETWEEN BIG BUSINESS
AND FAIR REMITTANCES, A POTENT WEAPON TO REDUCE POVERTY
President Ellen Johnson
Sirleaf has directed a high power delegation to inform Liberians in the
US that even if the rate of poverty is high, and unemployment is
increasing, her Poverty Reduction Strategy is on track. Is it a power
point presentation or the institutionalization of an effective economic
policy that will create an environment conducive for government to
receive adequate resources to fight poverty?

Martha Kannah Lies to President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf and Scams Shantel
Tarwo in Container Deal
Remember all those sensational headlines (GGAA Gets Duty Free Soon;
Martha Kannah Meets President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf)? Well, there was
more to that than the sensational headlines. See folks, Martha failed
her own interview with President Johnson-Sirleaf when she (Martha) could
not tell the president specifically what was her purpose for meeting
with the president.

PARALLEL “ADMINISTRATIONS” & POLARIZATION: THE CASE OF THE GRAND
GEDEH ASSOCIATION USA & CALL FOR UNITY
Although there have been and still are carefully-crafted, provocative
Press Releases of claims & counter-claims; charges &
counter-charges; name-calling & character assassinations;
mud-slinging & political-profiling; planned different national
conventions/elections by two Grand Gedeh Association “Administrations”
USA, at different venues on the same day and in the city of
Philadelphia; and although after the visit to Liberia (as President of
the Grand Gedeh Association USA, reported with pomp and pageantry) and
return by Mrs. Martha Kannah and Delegation, the critical question of
“who is the legitimate president of the Grand Gedeh Association” within
the Grand Gedeh Community USA, remains un-answered with deepening
division & polarization.

When Pope John Paul II (RIP) awarded the Benemerenti Award of Merit for Service to Humanity in 1999 to Atty. Samuel Kofi Woods, II many might have thought that because this young man equally belongs to the Catholic Church, this could have been the primo-determinant factor for such a great recognition and honour, but alas time -the greatest arbitrator human events has certainly proven that this was not the case rather the Pope as the Vicar of Christ had been under no illusion that this gentleman despite his humble beginnings was certainly destined for greatness precipice upon his un-daunting and unwavering stance in defense of fundamental human rights and social justice.

despite this government being led by a woman, the first in Africa, women
remain at the bottom, particularly in the cabinet.
