Propagating Rumors and Lies: an act that has become an entrenched component of our culture
“No matter how long a log stays in a river, it does not transform itself into a crocodile”. This is one of my favorite wise sayings in the Kpelleh language. The log might be mistaken for a crocodile by some people, but yet still it does not become one. This saying can be applied to lies that have been told uncountable number of times.

The behavior of the Liberian National Police on the orders of Inspector General of the Liberia National Police, Mark Amblard returns Liberia to the dark days, and create a high sense of insecurity. Whether it was a Deputy Speaker or anybody who did anything wrong to any police officer.

Dear Senators and Representatives
Republic of Liberia
Today in Liberia, LEAD Liberia applauds the National Elections Commission efforts to educate the Liberian’s people on the electoral process despite the hurdles placed on its way by the Liberian National Legislature. The Liberian National Legislature sees no reasons to pass the Threshold Bill thereby playing politics with our future and the national interest of our beloved country (Liberia).

In his account of Jewish history, Rabbi Goldson alluded in his article, the Jewish people’s internal divisiveness left them vulnerable to the power of Rome. According to Rabbi Goldson, in the year 3826 (66 CE) , the excesses of Roman governance over the Land of Israel finally drove the inhabitants of Jerusalem to the breaking point.

They were democratically elected, but they behave like rebels. All political parties are involved in these felonious and treacherous acts.

As patriotic Liberians living in the diaspora and associating with people from different nationalities and cultures in public interaction, sometimes it is a daunting task to try to describe the problems our country is facing. In the heat of the war, I was in graduate school and some colleagues of mine were so interested in knowing what is going on in Liberia, they always surrounded me to ask me questions about Charles Taylor, Samuel Doe, Prince Johnson and even William Tolbert.

President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf has selected Sanniquellie, Nimba County as the site of this year’s Independence Day, July 26 celebration in spite of that county’s infamous reputation as the venue of horrific Massacres during Liberia’s uncivil war. With the hands of its two senior Legislative leaders dripping with the blood of the innocents, the choice of Sanniquellie defies all reasonable logic.

Today, on behalf of our constitutional democracy and Liberians worldwide, I, through my esteemed counsel Jerome G. Korkoya, Esq., filed a petition with the Supreme Court of the Republic of Liberia, challenging the Liberian government’s erroneous and unconstitutional assumption that a Liberian automatically loses his or her Liberian citizenship when that Liberian becomes a naturalized citizen of a foreign country, votes in a foreign election, or serves in a foreign armed forces without prior approval from the President of Liberia.

Falsehood that Merits Response: A Rejoinder to Mulbah K. Morlu’s “Decoding Obama’s Message to President Sirleaf, and the Fahnbulleh tragedy; emerging signals that Unity Party could rake 2011 election”
A June 28, 2010 press statement entitled: Decoding Obama’s Message to President Sirleaf, and the Fahnbulleh tragedy; emerging signals that Unity Party could rake 2011 elections, is an unfortunate and desperate attempt by the self proclaimed Chairman of Policy Office of the Congress for Democratic Change (CDC), Mr. Mulbah K. Morlu.

"....This graduation ceremony today is the continuation of the fine tradition started by our fathers. But today our challenges are too many and the time we find ourselves in is different from that of our fathers and mothers. Our time is defined by the decades of war and now we must educate ourselves to contribute meaningfully to the reconstruction of our country, Mama Liberia...."

In a Search for the Truth
The young man stood completely erect. He was very tall and had broad shoulders. He could have passed for a small giant. He stared longingly into the horizon, past the white sails of the ships billowing in the wind. The ships were all anchored at the docks in Savannah or were on the ocean waiting to dock.
