I am not too certain that the latest reaction from the United Bong County Association in America (UBCAA) emanated from the Executive Committee of the Association, which could of course ascertain back home (maybe contact the Deputy Speaker) to verify what happened, whether it was true Hon. Tokpah J. Mulbah was actually involved or if indeed it was the sate own maneuvering.

Background
Liberia and Guinea share may common characteristics: they have similar cultures, ethnic groups who speak the same dialects (Kissi, Kpelleh, Lorma, and Mano), and a porous border where anything can be smuggled across border lines. Unlike Liberia, Guinea has not experienced a full-blown civil crisis.

The Standard-bearer of the Congress for Democratic Change, Ambassador George Weah has been honored and gowned for his exceptional patriotism and unrivaled reliability since his entry into the orb of politics. According to commentaries I have read, together with the responses of attorney Jalloh and his supporters to same, he (attorney Jalloh) has filed a lawsuit with the Supreme Court of Liberia, challenging the constitutionality of Section 22.2 of the Aliens and Nationality Law of Liberia (Section 22.2), on the ground that it violates his and other Liberians’ constitutional right to due process of law.2 As I understand it, attorney Jalloh’s complaint alleges that Section 22.2 is unconstitutional because, according to him, “on its face, [Section 22.2] purports to abrogate the due process clause under Article 20(a) of the Constitution of the Republic of Liberia.”

Dear Fellow Liberians:
It has been brought to my attention that a few individuals are genuinely confused about where my lawsuit, which challenges as unconstitutional several provisions of the Aliens and Nationality Law of Liberia, was filed.

Dismissive And Condescending
The call to establish dual citizenship for Liberians is no doubt emerging as one of the defining issues facing Liberians as we struggle go pass the various criminal offenses committed against the people of Liberia and the state during the years of crimes normally referred to as the years of the Liberian civil conflict. But it seems that those wanting to have a dual citizenship law for Liberia are taking an approach rooted in arrogance and very dismissive in their effort to convince those who do not think it is not wise to change the Liberian citizenship laws for this reason.
