Dear Editor,
This is an SOS call to help Liberia. I have started this non profit organization that helps Liberia through health promotion screenings (checking blood pressure and blood sugar levels) and education. My organization has donated more than 1,500 used textbooks to the following schools in Monrovia: A.M. Doggliotti College of Medicine, TNIMA, University of Liberia, CHRISEM library, and the Child Care Foundation (orphanage) as well as medical supplies and physician's reference books to Redemption Hospital.

On my last trip to Liberia in December, I went to New Kru Town and various churches to check the people's blood pressure and blood sugar levels as well as educate them about those two medical problems.

When I returned to the US, I wrote the person in charge of changing the hospital equipments at the hospital that I work to donate used equipments to my organization for Liberia. They have agrees to donate 20 hospital beds; but not the shipping cost. My organization is a small one, that was founded in October 2008; I have been using my own money to ship books and supplies to Liberia; right now I am financially handicap.

In this light, I am kindly asking that you put my SOS call in your paper and also your web site for help. I am asking each Liberian who live in the United States to donate just one dollar ($1.00) to my organization so that we will together help our people in Liberia. We are in the process of shipping more books to Liberia which we intend to send to Bomi, Cape Mount and Margibi counties; we intend to go all over Liberia helping the people.

I am also believing in God to touch someone to donate at least two CHOLESTECH LDX machines for us to do a large scale health promotion screening at ATS and also give out blood sugar monitors to people who have very high blood sugar levels.

Please feel free to visit our web site to see what we have been doing in Liberia at

Thank you so much for helping us in our endeavors to help the students and people of Liberia.
Sincerely yours.
