mulbahkmorlu_jrMulbah Morlu clears the Air on radiolib.com: Did he really meet obama?

I can tell you for sure, I met President Obama on Saturday in Accra Ghana, the purpose for which we flew to that country. People who are saying that we did not meet Obama are ashamed because you can remember sometime ago Madam Sirleaf left this country and stayed over a month in America lobbying to see Obama but to no avail.

They are ashamed that a little advocate like me was able to meet Obama", -Mulbah Morlu (All Africa)

"The United States Embassy in Monrovia categorically denies that Mulbah Morlu met with President Barack Obama in Ghana. There was no such meeting or conversation between the two men, as Mr. Morlu has claimed," -The U.S Embassy in Liberia (All Africa).

"What can I say, I am very disappointed. Morlu really disappointed a lot of people who believed in him. Why, Morlu, Why? You just executed your cause," – Acarious Gray (All Africa)

"We will take further action against Morlu when this information is confirmed because his act is criminal,"- Boakai Jaliebah, (All Africa).

The above, are few of the many claims, counter claims, outrage and disappointments expressed by affected parties when Mr. Mulbah Morlu, former chairman of the Forum for the Establishment of War Crimes Court, claimed to have met Pres. Barack Obama for six (6) minutes on his (Obama’s) visit to the West African Nation of Ghana. According to Morlu, He and the U.S President discussed their desire to “see the United States press the Liberian government to take a strong stance on corruption and ensure that people on travel ban are given due process" (All Africa).

Since this so-called meeting, Mr. Morlu has come under unwavering public criticism for apparently lying to the Liberian People and defeating his group’s struggle. This controversy also led to his suspension as Chairman of the Forum for the Establishment of War Crimes Court. According to allfrica.com, the Secretary General of the advocacy group Mr. Boakai Jaliebah said that due to Mr. Morlu’s “criminal behavior” the executive branch decided to suspend him (Morlu) pending further investigation and verification.

Despite all of these, Mr. Morlu continues to remain resolute with his claim that he met the U.S President; stating, “All I've ever provided you are the facts. If somebody in the embassy tries to counteract facts to cover up the truth, we'll take the debate from there and fight on the truth. I wouldn't and shall never stand down” (All Africa).

In an attempt to uncover the truth to this entire controversy and everything surrounding Mr. Morlu, including the state of his advocacy, his credibility, and consistent attack on the President of the Republic of Liberia Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf amongst others, the Liberian Enlightenment Forum (LEF), a sub branch of the Liberian Students Associations in America (LIBSAA), extended an invitation to Mr. Morlu (which he accepted) to come on the forum and clear the air relative to those controversies surrounding him.

Watch Out Morlu!!!
I am afriad that Morlu could just be taking a serious risk if his claims that he met Obama in Ghana turns out to be false.

I am afriad because if such claims is not true, the self-styled advocate could face criminal charges under both US and Liberian Penal Codes. Moreover so as Morlu is headed for the US, I hope he is sure his claims are true to the letter, or else I see trouble for this "little advocate as calls himself.

Just my observation.

Morlu, the peculiar guy!
Morlu ought to take himself seriously. Telling all kinds of falsehoods is not the optimum way to enhance one's tarnished personality.

Morlu reported last year that he met with President Obama in Ghana for a brief meeting. The US embassy in Monrovia disputed that. Up to date, Morlu has not leveled truthfully with the Liberian people.

If Morlu tells anyone that he's been given a visa to travel to the US, it should not be believed by anyone until he's actually seen in the US.

In the first place, I am not too sure whether brother Morlu will be given a free pass at the US embassy in Monrovia. His previous claim that he met with Obama in Ghana is an issue that the US embassy personnel will not drop easily.

Good luck, brother Morlu!

the misrepresentation you guys are giving morly in this chat room speak to the fact that all of you morlu opponents are stooges of the regime trying to discredit the hard works of morlu. morlu has more credible character than many of your rogue government officials.

Morlu is not forth-coming!
Mr. Public Citizen:
I disagree with you slightly. Some chatters may say negative things about Morlu simply because they dislike him. Others may disparage him because he fails to tell the truth. There're a host of reasons why he's derogated by some Liberians always. However, I don't think Morlu's opponents are stooges of Johnson-Sirleaf. I could be wrong, you never know.

If you will recall, president Obama made a historic trip to Ghana in 2009. During the time of Obama's visit, Morlu claimed to have met with Obama briefly in Ghana. Just minutes after Morlu claimed to have met with Obama, the US embassy in Monrovia denied Morlu's claim. Then, to level the playing field, brother Morlu himself countered by saying that he'd release details of his encounter with Obama.

Up to date, the Liberian people and certainly "some" of Morlu's supporters have been unable to hear from brother Morlu regarding the "Obama encounter" which was promised. So I ask this question: "Do you think brother Morlu has told the truth regarding his ecounter with president Obama"? If this true, why is it being kept a secret by brother Morlu? Also, why would the US embassy dispute brother Morlu's claim? The truth has to be told! It's not forth-coming and something is wrong!

As you know, Mr. Public Citizen, Liberians have had all kinds of problems previously with politicians who weren't "forth-coming" with the truth. Charles G. Taylor comes to mind immediately. Example, when became president, he promised an economic package for the Liberians that seemed fair. But, as Taylor settled in the "comfort" of the Executive Mansion" he renaged on all of his promises. His lackluuster attitude brought some of the hardships that Liberians encounter today. So, instead of blaming Taylor for the trouble he created in the country of Liberia, EJS is caught in the "catch-22" circuit.

Morlu must do something about his tarnised dredibility if he's to be taken seriously. That's the problem that I have with him. I am willing to go an "extra mile" to see how Morlu improves. But he fails all the time. Yet, I am not a stooge of EJS by one quarter of an inch!

The beginning.
The starting point of any seriouse tensions always begins with the arrest of Students. Followed by a find government side of the story.
But the true shall be told,
some day.

2 Police Depots Vandalized
By: Lannert Dodoo
MONROVIA – At least 17 student and youth leaders have been rounded up by the Liberia National Police (LNP) and placed behind bars in connection to the weekend’s hostilities at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex in Paynesville, outside Monrovia.

Among those arrested were George Sieh Williams, president of the University of Liberia Student Union (ULSU); Kwame E. Ross, president of the Liberia National Students Union (LINSU) and scores of other student officials of the two groups.

This information was confirmed by Samuel Dakina, Acting Director of the LNP.

The arrest of the student leaders was in connection with their alleged attack on, and subsequent damage of a police sub-station and a depot in Paynesville on Saturday, January 16, Dakina said.

The Acting Police Director said while the Federation of Liberian Youth (FLY) was conducting its congress at the sports complex, some individuals, claiming to be members of FLY tried to force their way into the complex without accreditation.

“When the police resisted their entry, some of the individuals, who claimed to be students, started throwing stones at the police. We tried to get some of the leaders of FLY and the aggrieved group to settle the matter but they kept throwing stones at the police,” Dakina said.

He said based on the refusal of the protesting students to stop throwing stones at LNP officers, some of were held in an effort to amicably resolve the matter.

“However,” he explained, “other students in a red mini-van later stormed the Zone 8 police sub-station in Paynesville and demanded the immediate release of their colleagues, whom they thought were being held there.”

“In a twinkle of an eye,” Dakina added, “the student group broke into the depot, where they set inmates, including a hardened criminal who had been on the police wanted list for over two weeks, free.

During the melée, he disclosed, two police radio communication sets, valued at US$800, each were taken away.

The Deputy Minister for Youth Development at the Ministry of Youth & Sports, Sam Hare, told reporters that upon the arrest of some of the students, he went to the police depot to negotiate their release and to settle the matter.

While in the process of negotiating with the police at the depot, he said, a red van carrying about 30 ‘student militants’ pulled up at the depot. The students on board the van disembarked and rushed into the police depot at the Zone 8 substation, demanding the immediate release of their colleagues.

The Deputy Minister further told reporters that all efforts to calm the students down failed as the student militants deflated his car tire and broke open the prison cells, setting some inmates free.

“When they found out that the students were not [at] the Zone 8 substation,” Hare said, “the ‘student militants’ went to Zone 8, Depot 1.”

Addressing the issue that sparked the confusion, Hare told reporters that LINSU wanted to partake in the FLY congress but had failed to register on time.

The deadline for registration was January 10, 2010, he said.

LINSU, however, presented its bank slip to FLY on January 14, after the deadline for registration had expired, leading to its (LINSU’s) disqualification for participation in the congress.

FLY is the umbrella organization of all youths in Liberia.

At the Zone 8 Depot 1, this reporter, who later visited the station, confirmed that the doors to the offices of the Commander and Deputy Commander were left ajar, some windows and furniture broken. It was also confirmed by the Acting Police Chief, Dakina, that inmates at Depot 1, including the students who were being held there, were also set free by the ‘student militants.’

Dakina, however, added that the student leaders were re-arrested. He did not say whether besides the re-arrested student leaders, other inmates were also re-arrested. Police further disclosed that four of the student leaders who attacked and broke into the police depot sustained injuries in the process.

Police said the injured students were taken to the John F. Kennedy Hospital where they were treated and discharged and are now in police custody.

The student leaders could not be reached by the Daily Observer for comment as they were said to be in police custody.

Meanwhile, Acting Minister for Youth & Sports, Edwin K. Tetteh, has expressed dissatisfaction over the ‘hooliganism’ of the student leaders.

“We have to learn how to abide by rules and guidelines; we cannot live in a jungle,” he asserted.

Presently, 17 students are in police custody.

The beginning.
Fellow Liberians, I believe we are giving Mr. Morlu too much attention. We know what a liar this man is therefore, we should stop making him feel important rather, focus on more important things for Liberia.

Here goes another lie! How in the world does he think, the American Embassy will give him a visa to travel to the United States after, he has openly lied on their Head of State? He must be delusional and, living on another planet.

Mr. Morlu, if you really met with President Obama, why not show proof for the Liberian people to get off your case? Are you looking for fame? If so, this is not the way to obtain fame. If you do not have a job, get one and stop lying and, making yourself look bad and loose respect from the, Liberian People.

I am sure you have children and, you do not want this to be in history years down the road. If so, they will read about their lying father. Sometimes in life when we do things as young adults, we do not realize that, it follows us down the road. Be careful what you are doing to yourself. This will also affect you if you intend to run for office. No one will, believe in you. Liberia has enough liars and cheaters therefore, we do not need another one.

Take heed and, clean up your act.

WAR-MONGER ,THOMAS DOE.......
Mr. Thomas Doe, if you want and praying for war to come to Liberia, why not take the responsibility to bring the war you so desperately want?

You sound like a bitter old man that is a big loser in life. Do you have children, grandchildren or great grandchildren in Liberia? Do you care about what will happen to them if your silly and emptied infatuation with war coming to Liberia materializes?

Let me just make this very clear to you, Mr. Big Clown, Liberians will never go to war again to kill one another. War is not like a football tournament where it is stage every other year.

So all your happiness about war coming to Liberia will only happen in your demented mind but not in our sweet country.

Liberia is not the first country in the world to have civil war. Like all those countries that have had civil wars, they are not having civil war everyday as your delusional mind thinks.

If you do not love Liberia as your war drum beat shows, please leave Liberia alone and enjoy your remaining old days in what ever foreign country you are in. We the young people see a very bright and sucessful future for Liberia and all Liberians but not you, Mr. Big Clown - Thomas Doe.

The LiberianPeople,

Did I sponsor the war that removed rebel leader and NPFL dictator Charcle Taylor?

When the PRC carried your people on the beach, it was to teached your something.
Apprently they refused to learned.

Some people(like your people) perferred to learn the hard way.

From your people's performance in Monrovia, another teacher will have to come from the ower of the land committe,(the Doe cmmitee) to teach your people the harded ways then DOE.

The NPFL PAPAY HAD TO RUN AWAY TO JAILED. Taylor own STUPID leadership created the resistance that ran him to jailed.

WAITE AND SEE WHAT THE NPFL OLD MA WILL DO. In her case the hungary, and suffering people will be her problem.

Personally, I have nothing to do with any of this. These are NPFL leadership REWARDS.

THEY'LL HAVE TO BE PASS OUT AT THE APPROPREACITE TIME..

Call me any name you want, that is your call. Taylor is gone. She too, MUST GO.

You can not reason with people like Thomas Doe, KMS, and friends. They are completely delusional and ignorant. Perhaps as a result of the human eating that was going on at Doe's table...who knows?! However, it is important to remain vocal and address their ever apparent evil intentions for Liberia.

These people have taken lying to an entirely new level, you can't even call it lying anymore because its as if it is a completely different animal. I usually refrain from religious references but I am certain the devil is cooking something good for them in the afterlife. For every word that contributes to their lies and wicked intentions he adds more wood to the flames he is preparing. I will pray for you but as far as you all have gone I'm sure it will be of very little help.

p.s. Please keep the people of Haiti in your prayers.

FRUSTRATED OLD MEN – VERY CLUELESS
These frustrated clueless old men sitting in foreign land for years and nothing to show for their long stay in these foreign lands are desperately wishing war on our country. But let me just inflate their war enthusiasm.

There will be no war in Liberia because this Great President is not killing opposition leaders nor putting opposition leaders in jail. She is not sending the military on school campuses to kill and rape students. She is not burning newspaper houses down nor making journalists to run for their life. There is no more Bella Yala prison and thanks to this President

To show how clueless you people are, Thomas Doe posted a story about students on students violence that have nothing to do with the government. But since you people can not understand what you read, you are making it to look like the government had anything to do with what happen. This whole incident took place because some student organizations did not follow the rules to part take in the national student conference so few students went on a rampage against their fellow students. The government only role was to see that the law of the land is up held. If the students are angry about not partaking in a student conference, they have no right throwing stones at the place where the other students where having their meeting. This was not the government stopping students from exercising their freedom of expression but only stopping few hooligans from destroying properties.

If you grumpy old men have nothing to show for your long stay in foreign land, there is no need to be wishing war on Liberia. The only reason you grumpy old men are wishing war on Liberia is so that you can not go to Liberia with nothing to show to your family. What a pity and what a clownish way to show that you grumpy old men are sole losers.

PS - Theodore Kaczynski, The Unabomber was a brilliant mathemetician and a very good writer - so what good writing has to do with one charater flaw? You can be the best writer in the world but if you are a criminal and a liar, your good writting can not change that.

WHY SHOULD WOMEN GET RESPECT?
There is too much respect for women in today’s Liberia. During the Doe days when we were in power, women knew their place was in the kitchen and also to wash men clothes.

There is no place for women in political discussion and it is a crime for a woman to be president.

I do not know why we should give women respect when women have always being our slaves even in my younger day in the 1950s.

One of the reason I hate and do not respect Ellen Sirleaf as president is because she is a woman. I do not respect any woman.
