Response to malicious lies, misinformation, envy and deceit against bishop Dr. George M. Kiadii
It is evident and factual in the political history of Liberia that the
political playing field is usually characterized by deliberate smear
campaigns intended to destroy and/or assassinate the characters of
political opponents perceived to be running contrary to the whims and
caprices of self proclaimed POLITICAL GURUS.
This act is usually perpetrated on the basis of lies, misinformation, envy, deceit, and power greed. Such is the case with Bishop Dr. George M. Kiadii who contested as a candidate in the 2005 Presidential election on the ticket National Vision Party. Despite the impeccable records of Dr. Kiadii, Mr. Tewroh-Wehtoe Sungbeh, without the fear of God, wrote a defamatory article in the Perspective an online news magazine titled “CANDIDATE GEORGE KIADII’S PAST CANNOT BE IGNORED”, in which he attempted to destroy the hard earned reputation of Bishop Dr. George M. Kiadii.
Considering the mischief, inconsistencies, and distortions that is contained in Mr. Sungbeh’s article, and coupled with wishes and desire of the Liberian people to seeing a patriotic, educated, intelligent, God fearing, and a humanitarian ascending to the leadership (the Presidency) of this Liberia, it behooves the Friends of Bishop Dr. George M. Kiadii to immediately debunk the rubbish written by Tewroh-Wehtoe Sungbeh and provide a clear picture of who and what Dr. Kaidii is made of.
Mr. Sungbeh begun his article by saying “my friend George Momodou Kiadii is one of those charismatic guys who will quickly leave a lasting impression on whomever he meets the first time “. YES, this is true simply because the man Bishop Dr. George M. Kiadii is not an ordinary man, he is truly a man chosen by God to redeem Liberia from the Governance crises that engulfed it since its independence in 1847. Tewroh-Wehtoe Sungbeh continued further by writing ,“Charming and always well groomed, the theatrical Kiadii seemed to leap from his almost midget size height to over six feet when he’s passionately discussing politics or when he’s at a pulpit preaching the Gospel, which he does very well”. Sungbeh wrote further that “George Kiadii seemed a bit confused about his faith in the days when he couldn’t decide whether he was a Moslem or a Christian”.
Tewroh-Wehtoe Sungbeh claimed to be a good friend of Bishop Dr. George Kiadii, a claim the Friends of Bishop Dr. George Kiadii can neither reject nor oppose, but how is it possible that a good friend will misrepresent his friend as claimed by the writings of Sungbeh? This is the question that lingers the minds of those who have accessed and read the article written by Sungbeh. For the record, Bishop Dr. George M. Kiadii hailed from Grand Cape Mount County an area in Liberia that is predominantly a Moslem Setting, and truly Dr. Kiadii is born to Moslem parents and grew up in a Moslem home this story Dr. Kiadii have never hidden from anyone. As Dr. Kiadii matured, he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior thus affirming his Christian faith. More besides, Bishop Dr. George M. Kiadii served as a preacher to the Alpharetta Church of Christ for seven years and he was the only black member of over two hundred (200) membership. Accordingly, Alpharetta was at that time an area where black people were not welcome at all, the evidence of this is known to all citizens and others in the state of Georgia.
Mr. Sungbeh questioned, “How did George Kiadii, who arrived in the United States as a Moslem in the early 80s, transformed from the Islamic faith to the Christian faith to become a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and a Bishop is appalling. And who appointed and installed George Kiadii a Bishop of a Church in the first place, and which denomination is another article for another day”. In respond to this trivial question raised by Sungbeh, the Friends of Bishop Dr. George M. Kiadii wish to state in clear terms that Bishop Dr. Kiadii arrived in the United States by the Power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and in fact Bishop Dr. Kiadii was and has been a devoted Christian throughout his adult life. Dr. Kiadii was appointed as a Bishop by the Church of God World Harvester and the council of Bishops of North America, and currently Bishop Kiadii heads the Columbia Church in Liberia. Dr. Kiadii in 1998 organize the Union of Churches, a Church Organization with three thousand five hundred (3,500) Independent Churches in Liberia, and one hundred (100) affiliate Churches in the United States and Nigeria. Tewroh-Wehtoe Sungbeh must therefore be reminded that if a man like Saul in Bible can become Paul the Epistle, then it is not impossible for Bishop Dr. George Kiadii who was born to Moslem Parents to accept Jesus Christ and become his servant.
It was not a mistake when Sungbeh described Dr. Kiadii as a passionate discussant of politics, though Sungbeh intended to hide the democratic traits found in Dr. Kiadii, he finally alluded that Dr. Kiadii is passionate about politics, furthermore; Dr. Kiadii delivered a powerful speech at the Carter Center in Atlanta during one of the political rallies organized by Mr. Sungbeh and Bodioh Wesseh Siapoe aimed at calling for a stop of the blood bath in Liberia. Can an unserious minded person address such an occasion? We say no.
On the issue of questionable alliances with former President Charles Taylor, Mr. Sungbeh must be further informed if he is not aware that Bishop Dr. Kiadii is an ardent believer of democracy and the rule of law therefore, Dr. Kiadii accepted an appointment as Ambassador-at-Large for trade and commerce in the supreme interest of the Liberian People and not an alliance with President Taylor as perceived by Mr. Sungbeh. The fact that Taylor was elected as President by the people of Liberia, and it became imperative that Dr. Kiadii adhere to the will and wishes of the People and work with the administration to bring relief to the People.
In dispelling the Malicious Lies and Misinformation that is being spread by Tewroh-Wehtoe Sungbeh and his likes, the Friends of Bishop Dr. George Kiadii will like to use this medium to outline some of the achievements of Dr. Kiadii as Liberia rises from the ashes of war.
1.Even though, Dr. Kiadii did not receive any contribution from any individual, corporations, religious body, however, Dr. Kiadii contributed to Liberia. On record is the renovation of the then Maternity Hospital now the Ministry of Health.
2.Over five million United States Dollars (US$5, 0000,000) worth of medical supplies to the John F. Kennedy (JFK) Hospital.
3.Eleven (11) utility trucks with buckets given by Dr. Kiadii to the Liberia Telecommunications Corporation.
4.Dr. Kiadii was responsible for obtaining visas for many Liberians to come to the United States.
5.Dr. Kiadii among others was responsible for the Liberia Lone Star soccer team’s first ever official visit to the United States.
6.Dr, Kiadii and the former Mayor of Monrovia Daniel Johnson were responsible for the establishment of the Liberian resource center, thus to provide immigration and legal assistance to Liberian Citizens in America.
7.Currently, Dr. Kiadii is distributing one hundred and seventy five thousand copies of the bible throughout Liberia Citizens and Others.
8.Dr. Kiadii since 2006 has built three (3) farm to market roads for our people both in Bong and Cape Mount Counties.
9.Dr. Kiadii has provided scholarships to Liberian Students from Elementary Level to University.
10.Dr. Kiadii, just few days ago delivered two hundred fifty thousand United States Dollars (US$250,000.00) worth of medical equipment to the Concerned United Methodist Church of Liberia.
11.Dr. Kiadii today again has given one hundred thousand Liberian Dollars (L$100,000.00) to the people of Grand Cape Mount County for developmental purpose.
12.Dr. Kiadii is on record for being the only Presidential candidate to reach out to former child soldiers and has made significant contribution to their education, health, and agriculture developments throughout Liberia.
13.As of today, Dr. Kiadii’s citizens empowerment swamp farming is one of the largest in seven (7) counties in Liberia. Hopefully, the other remaining counties will get involve.
14.Dr. Kiadii is presently on his way to Nimba County where he is schedule to hold a major conference with the people of that county. Dr. Kiadii is also expected to make a financial contribution of two hundred thousand Liberian Dollars (L$200,000.00) for development initiatives.
In deed Bishop Dr. George Kiadii has been in the vanguard of bringing his beloved homeland Liberia to an appreciable level in terms of development as compared to other developed nations around the world. He try to do this by encouraging many Corporate Institutions and Investors the world over to come and invest in Liberia to provide development assistance, but the United Nations and some other Powerful and Stronger Nations did not allow this due to disagreement with the Taylor Administration.
Surely if the likes of Tewroh-Wehtoe Sugbeh could turn their expertise from being NEGATIVE to that of being POSITIVE, Liberia will be developed and transformed to a paradise in Africa yield the world.
The best thing that a well meaning Liberian could do is to remain quiet if he/she does not have anything tangible to offer the Liberian people rather than tearing down those of his compatriots like Dr. Kiadii who have devoted all their energies and resources towards the betterment of MAMA LIBERIA.
To conclude, leaders are born and not made, and if is truly born to become a leader, his behavior will attest. Dr. Kiadii, God has sent you to lead your people to greatness, don’t be deterred, your vision for this country will come to fulfillment in Jesus Name.

Get Even: That's Politics
Rev. Bility, Your impassioned narrative of your ally, Bishop Kiadii was partially read. I honestly believe that the best way to assist your buddy, Bishop Kiadii in the upcoming election, is to get even politically. Why is it necessary to get even? Well, that\'s how politics works.
Usually when some people try to get even, they resort to a hostile action. Guess what? That\'s not what I mean when I say \"try to get even\".
In the US, when Bill Clinton ran for the presidency, he was attacked negatively by his republican enemies. News of his dalliance with Gennifer Flowers and others crept up in the press. Without doubt, Clinton\'s enemies turned him into a political football. They kicked Clinton around until he could no longer roll! But, it was written in the book that he\'d be president of the US. Clinton eventually bounced back and that\'s how he became known as the \"comeback kid\". It was a concerted effort by the republican right and other operatives to re-elect George Bush the senior. But, Clinton\'s forces lead by James Carville and Begala did not complain. They fought back like two roaring lions. In other words, they got even. You might ask: \"why did they fight back so vaciously\"? Rev. Bility, I told you so. In politics, you have to \"get even civiliy\" in order for you to be heard, respected and feared. That\'s the name of the game!
As you can see, I am not calling for a full scale war against your opponent, Mr. Sungbeh. God forbade. You need to do a profile on your opponent in order for your \"man\" to be sold to the Liberian public. But, don\'t go the negative route!
Sungbeh\'s attacks against Kiadii (whether they\'re genuine or not) seemed to have accomplished his objective. Your purpose would be to return the political fire \"civilly\" and not retreat or complain as you seem to have done.
My Affiliation: I am not affilliated with Kiadii or Sungbeh. In fact, I am not affiliated with anyone. If I want to contest the upcoming elections, I\'ll do so. If I made that decision, I would put up a fight that\'s been unheard of in Liberian politics. I know a few people on the Forum whose support I\'d solicit in order to flip the tables under the current crop of candidates whose love for Liberia (as I know it) is not yet expressed.
You might want to consider my suggestion for all that it is worth. However, if you and your camp believe that the best way you\'ll put your man at the top is to list his contributions or complain about his accusers\' attacks, then wait and see what happens at the end.
