Dear Editor,
I have been very quiet since the election of President Sirleaf. It was
my hope and that of millions of Liberians that she succeeds, because of
the long and difficult way from where we’ve come as a nation and people.

The preservation of peace and security, and the strengthening of our
young democracy is primarily the responsibility of Liberians. It is
with this conviction that I, as leader of the Congress for Democratic
Change have had several interactions with President Sirleaf since her
inauguration. In person, by telephone and through several written
communications, I have offered my suggestions to President Sirleaf; not
on how she should run her government, but on how all stakeholders can
collectively tackle the national priorities of reconciliation, peace
and security which clearly cannot be addressed singularly by the
present partisan administration. Mostly, these suggestions have gone
unheeded and the problems have continued to exacerbate.

.....we are delighted to submit to your office a systematic account of egregious atrocities committed by men loyal to individuals and institutional heads whose evasive testimonies before your team is a mockery of the pains inflicted upon their innocent victims. These gruesome actions were a part of a planned widespread systematic abuse, massacre, rape, murder, economic plunder and various atrocities meted against the Liberian state and some citizens of the international community. This document, which has been previously distributed and disseminated amongst members of the international community, refutes the malicious distortions of Mr. Alhaji G. V. Kromah, who has dodged responsibility of the heinous atrocities perpetrated by his lieutenants. Click here to read full document >>>

President George W. Bush, in remarks during his visit to Liberia in February, 2008 said the following:
“...The
name of your country, Liberia, means, ‘land of the free,’ and there is
no place I feel more welcome than a land where liberty is love and the
hope of freedom reigns. This country was founded by former American
slaves who came here seeking the freedom they had been denied in my
country…”

All hopes were gone. There were skeletons and skeleton like faces
everywhere. Puppies and their parents were feasting in the meal which
they were not known of eating. Skins were being pierce from every
corners of the city.

The Truth And Reconciliation Comes Full Circle
I don’t come here to discuss blood diamond business. If you know
somebody blood on the diamond, if you know where it is, go to The
Hague….” ~ Lewis Browne, former President Charles Taylor’s National Security Advisor.
By the way that’s the most brilliant quote I have ever heard. Yeap.
When Lewis Browne built his huge mansion near the Roberts International
Airport highway, he did it in broad daylight as if in defiance, like:
wha’ you goin’ do ’bout this one huh, and with gusto; in the open for
all to see.

In a matter of days, Liberians (at home and abroad) will once again
have an opportunity to pause and soberly reflect on an important day in
the history of our Nation. On August 24, we as a nation and people,
regardless of our social, political, religious or ethnic affiliation
will come together, under God’s command to celebrate our 161st
National Flag Day.

Dr. H. Boima Fahnbulleh Jr. indicated that the poor and the elites
would always fight each other to capture political power. He made the
remarks at the hearing of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission
(TRC). Such a fight for economic dividends also occurred in Italy,
France, Russia, Great Britain, the United States of America, etc, but
receded only after political leaders reached deals, which allowed
governments to allocate money for education, etc.

Our attention is seriously drawn to the manner and form the contract was allegedly canceled. We believe that issues regarding cancellation of a Legal Contract should have been affected by the Management of the National Port Authority after exhausting all and every possible means without inflicting injury to the existing contract consistent with the rule of law. In part one , the economic analysis of dual citizenship discussed the
pareto criterion and recognized that social cost is negative to grant
dual citizenship for economic benefits. We were exposed to the
intrinsic paucity in the dual citizenship’s claimed of economic
supremacy.

While we are searching for the truth, the Movement for the Defense of
the Down-Trodden Strongly believes that this can only be achieved when
those charged with the responsibility to steer this process are void of
emotional, personal and partisan alignment. Furthermore, the Movement
would like to use this medium remind commissioners of the TRC about a
legal axiom which says that “HE WHO COMES TO EQUITY MUST COME WITH
CLEAN HANDS”.

The proponents of dual citizenship insist that traditional Liberians
will gain economic benefit if such a law existed. Thus, this analysis
adopts Ronald Coase Therom, which remains a foundational premise to
explore LAW as an institutional framework for understanding the
principle of economic efficiency.

"Go red for China” was the slogan unveiled on the Chinese mainland by Pepsi-Cola whose ubiquitous blue can will, for limited time be red.
Pepsi is just one of many companies advertising at the Olympics, at a cost up to $ 6 billion in an attempt to tap a largely untouched market or more than $ 1 billion. This is the Olympics the West wanted
